Leigh Barbier
DAY JOB: Model Maker | CG Texture Painter
PASSION PROJECTS: Painting | Drawing | Sculpture | Storytelling | Quilting
Leigh Barbier was born and raised in California’s San Fernando Valley, where early wonder shifted from candy shops to museums. Influenced by religious art, Thomas Hart Benton, the Mexican muralists, and 1960s Disney imagery, her artistic vision spans bold lines and imaginative storytelling.
Her career includes building dioramas for the California Academy of Sciences, designing a giant baseball mitt for the Giants’ stadium, and digital painting for Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War, Warcraft, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. She has also collaborated extensively with the avant-garde group The Residents, bringing mythic narratives to life.
For Leigh, making art through drawing, painting, or sculpting is a way to give emotion form, driven by curiosity, imagination, and the desire to translate inner experience into visual story.
